Executive Management Team

  1. Darrell H. Cole, President and CEO Darrell H. Cole
    President & CEO, The United Distribution Group

    As the President & CEO of The United Distribution Group, Mr. Cole leads a highly trained staff of more than 700 employees currently operating out of 62 facilities. UDG serves a wide range of energy-related industries including oil and gas, mining, power generation, petrochemical, agriculture, original equipment manufacturers, marine and various other industries.

    Mr. Cole earned an M.B.A. from The Graduate College of Business at East Tennessee State University. He has 39 years of industrial distribution experience, is a director of the Eastern Coal Council and a former director of the Virginia Mining Association.

  2. Henry E. Looney, Vice President of Materials Management

    Henry E. Looney

    Henry has dedicated his entire career to serving and supporting miners and the mining industry. Henry leads the company – wide sales and marketing team whose overriding purpose is to provide the very best products and services to the North American mining industry. Henry attended King College in Bristol, Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Business.

  3. D. Scott Kesner, Vice President - Sales

    Scott is responsible for directing the activity of the national account team and the product management team. His primary focus is managing programs and services that provide the greatest overall value to United Central’s US and Western Canada customer base.

    Scott has over 30 years of industrial MRO distribution experience. He earned a degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University and is the president of the Continental/Contitech Distributor Advisory Council. He is a member of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society, and the Kansas Grain and Feed Association. He is also a member of the National Industrial Belting Association as well as the National Association of Hose and Accessories Distributors.

  4. Christopher P. McClendon, Vice President – Materials Management

    Chris is responsible for the company's purchasing, pricing and inventory control functions. His focus is on serving and supporting miners and the mining industry with world class products and services designed to lower a mine’s total operating costs and create operational efficiencies. Chris attended the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Chris also earned his Executive Negotiation Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School and is a Certified Production and Inventory Control Manager.
